Note the intentions of the all - cooling outer casing. Heatsinks everywhere to cool every concievable component. If you think the sound card shown on top right (green thing) was squished, I actually GOT the soundcard to work like that with a video card sandwiched ontop of it, with a custom routed heatsink, drilled and molded to fit between them and still conduct to the casing. (ISA and PCI slots were extended using ribbon cable). Also note the bigfoot drive which simplifies the design. Ideally what was needed was a laptop HD, mounted ONTOP of the board (do-able), which would have halved the overall thickness of the design.
